Crashpads are essential gear to manage climber risk when bouldering outdoors

While we offer a selection of crash pads for sale in our in-gym pro shop, the cost can be prohibitive to some climbers so we offer rentals to ensure our community has an accessible option to manage their risk while enjoying the sport of bouldering at local crags.

Climbing outside is a different experience to climbing in the gym so please consider hiring one of our staff for a private tour of a crag of your choice by contacting our Director of Retail & Guiding, Paul at p.heppner@rockspotclimbing.com or consider contacting your local climbing organization for more info.

With the pandemic, tours will be limited to less popular crags to help reduce the distance our climbers are traveling along with the density at these popular areas which can cause many access issues along with increasing the opportunity for the pandemic to spread.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.

Creating sustainable access to the crags our community loves is important to all climbers to ensure our sport, and the beautiful places our sport takes us, will be around for future generations to enjoy, appreciate, and climb on.

A message from the Access Fund

Climbing during the Pandemic

As stay at home orders are lifted and parks open back up, you may be considering heading back to your local crag so before you do, please take a look at the recommendations from the Access Fund, an organization that focuses on maintaining access to the areas we love by providing support for local climbing organizations and resources for climbers to properly transition from climbing in the gym to the crag.
